“Every pain gives a lesson, and every lesson changes a person.”
Pain is life’s greatest teacher, a teacher that will teach us some of the cruelest lessons we will ever learn in life. With each teaching moment will also come the realization that a part of you is dying and a new part of you is being born into this new found understanding you have of the world.
Pain pushes the limit that we are bound to. The limits that determine so much of what will be. Will we be complacent to the pain and suffering of life, take it for what it has done, what it has taken from us? Or will we continue to push, fight, and acknowledge that this pain was simply a necessary act to show us the depths that we still do not understand.
Change is inevitable, it is a part of understanding so much of what we do not know of life. If pain is the teacher then change is the chisel, we are the sculpture of life. The statues that will either stand to represent all the pain and suffering we have gone through to become something absolutely beautiful in life or a pile of rocks, just like the many others who failed and gave up.
Remember this, nothing great comes free. For some of the greatest men and women, some of the greats that have existed, are statues that stand the tallest. They wear the scars they’ve endured as a mark of honor, a reminder that pain and change are a promise for greatness.
