I would like to believe that in my life I’ve constantly challenged myself and by doing so, built up a threshold that has allowed for consistent growth.
Whether this growth was significant never mattered because what mattered most was that I was constantly moving forward. Understanding that within the confines of my life there would be setbacks, every small stride forward would allow me to control what I couldn’t, never being setback to the beginning. This was my threshold in life. I understood very quickly that building a threshold would become the only way that I would be able to persevere when all odds were against me.
Let me explain what I mean when I talk about a threshold. I started a small company when I was 17 years old. By the time I was 20 the company had become bigger than I had imagined for myself. This company become something that I no longer understood how to manage and eventually it would fall. This was my threshold. I had built up 3 years worth of first hand experience. Of course it hurt and I was devastated by what had happened, but I knew I had the skillset to be able to do it better this time. For every stride you make, you build a foundation. Even if the structure were to fall, you would never fall to absolutely nothing, simply just to the foundation that you learned to build on your own. This was threshold.
For every dream you may have, understand there will exist nightmares. We dream so we may see the impossible. What’s even better is, we are human, a physical form on this earth who can take these impossible dreams and manifest what was a dream into a beautiful and stunning reality. This is the gift we are all born with. A threshold that is given to us so we may continue to push limits.
“We are not bound to the limits of life, we are bound to the limits of our mind.”
