The Calm in Complete Chaos

The Strength to Keep Going

It’s been hectic, hasn’t it? You’ve been overwhelmed, and the constant exhaustion is taking its toll. I’m not going to say that I understand, because the reality is, I don’t know you or what you’re going through. Each of us lives a unique life, shaped by experiences no one else can fully grasp. We might find connection through shared emotions or moments, but I won’t claim to fully understand your journey unless I’ve walked it myself. What I do know is that you’ve been through a lot, and I’m proud of you. You’re still here, still trying—and that matters more than anything. Even when your mind whispers that it’s time to give up, you show yourself just how resilient you are.

I’ve had moments in my life when exhaustion consumed every part of me. It felt like my body operated on sheer instinct, allowing my mind to shut down while my body pushed forward. What kept me going was purpose. Purpose is what fuels you, anchors you, and propels you forward when everything feels insurmountable. I’ve shared with my wife and therapist that my purpose is the reason why, no matter how hard life gets, suicide will never be an option for me. I’d rather suffer than see those I love bear the burden of my pain and inadequacies.

Finding your purpose doesn’t have to be grand at first. It starts small—a tiny ember that grows as you nurture it. Over time, that purpose evolves, becoming something bigger and more profound. What’s beautiful about life is the resilience and meaning that can emerge from our darkest moments. Hardship, loneliness, and those nights when you wonder if things will ever be okay—they all lead to something unknown and extraordinary at the end of that path. That’s what has kept me moving forward: the possibilities that await after enduring the struggle.

I fight for those I love and find joy in the simplest moments because that’s what sustains me. I may be lost at times, but I haven’t given up. My purposes—the reasons I continue each day—remind me that as long as I’m here, I have the chance to see them smile, to share in their lives, and to keep moving forward.

About Me

I’m no one more special than any of you reading this. I work as a custodian during the evenings but every other time of the day I spend chasing a dream I’ve had since I was 16.
I have always believed there to be more to this life and I hope with this blog, my stories and journey in life, that I can share my experiences with all of you.
